A Presentation of Indian Classical Dance forms at Rashtriya Military School Bangalore

On the occasion of the world dance day on April 29, the school organized danse festival featuring Kathakali and Kuchipudi dances on April 24 with the support of SPICMACAY. Shri Kottakal Chandrashekaran and troupe presented the Kathakali Dance, which portrayed the story of Nala- Damayanti. The make-up, their head gear and overall costumes were the highlights of the show. It was a highly energetic performance that enthralled the students of our school. This was followed by another glimpse of the rich Indian culture through a Kuchipudi dance by Smt Vyjayanthi Kashi and group. The danseuse educated the cadets about various aspects of our culture like the Natyashastra, the Nava rasas, Sage Bharatha, Tarangam etc., . Smt Vyjayanthi Kashi and her students mesmerized the audience with their fleet- footed performance.
