INTER SCHOOL ENGLISH DEBATE
 
Dear Principal,
 
1. Thank you very much for your favourable response to the Inter School English Debate for the Bhatia Shield being organized by the Georgian Association (Old Boys) Rashtriya Military School Bangalore, on Saturday 22 Aug 2009. We have great pleasure in intimating details of the Debate.
 
SUBJECT
“Abolition of Examination System is the correct step forward for improving of the Education   System in India”
Conduct

 
2. Each school will be represented by two speakers, one speaking for the motion and the other against.
 
3. The Order of speakers will be decided by a draw of lots at the School Assembly Hall of the School on Thursday 20 Aug 2009 at 2.30 PM (1430 hrs). Team coordinators or their rep can obtain the the order of speakers by being present for the Draw or telephonically from Mr.Rajan between 1600 hrs and 1700 hrs on 20 Aug 2009 (Tele : 25573294). You are also requested to hand over Rs.2501- (Rupees Two hundred and fifty only), if not paid already, towards Entry Fee, by cash and obtain receipt.
 
4. Each speaker will be given FOUR MINUTES. A short warning bell will be sounded at three minutes and forty-five second with the second long bell at the end of allocated four minutes. Thereafter the speaker has to stop.
 
5. The decision of the Judges will be final. No representation will be accepted.
 
6. All Team Coordinators & Participants are requested to be present at the Assembly Hall of Military School Bangalore (now Rashtriya Military School Bangalore), latest by 1430 hrs on 22 Aug 2009 and will report to Mr.Hemanth Achayal Mr. KP Pradeep/Dr. Thanga Prabhu.
7. It is our great pleasure to invite the Team Coordinator & one Teacher to be our honoured guest for this competition as also five students to cheer their teams. Special seats will be earmarked for them.
 
8. There will be a Workshop conducted on the Debate including methodology for award of marks on Thursday 20 Aug 2009 at 1500 ins.
 
Prizes
9. The Bhatia Shield will be awarded to the School Winning Maximum number of points i.e. total score of both participants. Besides Certificates for each participants, Cash awards of 1 Rs. 1,500/- and Rs. 1,000/- will be given to first, second and third winners respectively.
 
Dress
10. Participants are requested to be in their school uniform. College students will be dressed appropriately.
 

Tea
11. All participants and guests are invited for Tea after the Debate.
