Annual Calendar Events

1. The Inter School English Debate Competiton for the Bhatia Shield willl be conducted on Saturday the 28th of August 2010. This competiton has, over the years, become one of the landmark events in the debating calendar. The best schools of Bangalore vie for the shield, and Army Public School Bangalore were the winners last year.

 
2.The Inter School Basketball tournament will commence on 30th August 2010 and the finals will be held at 3.00 Pm on 4the September 2010.
 

It is notable that Mr. Bhuvan Bhatia (RH, 1009) is sponsoring both these events. The Association is grateful for his support and hopes that this could lead the way for other members to come forward with sponsorships and proposals for new initiatives

Greetings and Good Wishes,

This is to inform you that the OBA Day two day event is scheduled for the 9th & 10th of October 2010. Lt Gen SS Kumar, QMG will be the Chief Guest. The tentative programme is as follows and the idea of coordinating is to provide enough time to Gen SS Kumar to visit both ASC Centre and Pioneer Corps.

The School programme(Tentatively) is as follows:

9th Oct 2010 (Saturday) –

0900-1000 h -            Welcome by School Cadets - Guard of Honour/ Parade and Drill
                                   competition etc. etc.

1000-1030 h-             Tea

1030 h                        Inauguration of renovated School Sarva Dharmasthal followed by
                                   lungar (To be confirmed)

1930 h -                     1st day Payment get-together /Dinner with Outstation Georgians,
                                   Cadets and Staff.

10th Oct 2010 (Sunday)

0930 –1330 h –          Cricket Match and other OBA activities

1330 h -                      Lunch with Cadets at Cadets Mess

1830-1930 h -             AGM

2000 h -                      OBA Dinner
